Organic Chiran Sencha

This tea is springtime in a cup, even on a cold winter's day! The bright, grassy notes are exactly what I look for in a good cup of green tea.

We usually order Everyday Sencha, but it was out of stock, so we upgraded to Chiran Sencha and are very pleased as this loose leaf sencha is a cut above Everyday Sencha. Worth the extra price. We may decide to buy both when we order next time, for variety in flavor.

A very rich and umami tea. A thick mouthfeel. A very savory fresh green scent. Cloudy chartreuse liqueur. The flavor is light and refreshing. I hope I am not getting throat itchiness. Tingles afterwards on the gums and teeth like mint.

This must be what a fresh and savory green tastes like. Very nice. I still do not understand the Chinese green people who say Japanese greens are super bitter. I am finding the opposite, and the Japanese greens are much more suited to my tastes and superbly drinkable.
